Sahungra Welfare Society celebrated its 19th event Tian da Tiohar Sikhiya da phaar with great enthusiasm in the village Thana, District Hoshiarpur, in which Principal of Oriental School, Mr. Jagtar Singh attended as the Chief Guest. He spoke about the importance of teej festival and education. He said girls have achieved all the levels in the country. Therefore, we should educate the maximum number of daughters.
At this event, 50 children held their views on education and daughters, which was appreciated by over 150 inhabitants of the village.
On this occasion, uniforms and slippers were distributed by the staff of Rice Academy and dupattas were distributed to the girls in the festival. Sahungra Welfare Society honored the respected donors of their last event with a thanks letter. At the end of the ceremony, the Sahungra Welfare Society thanked all the inhabitants of Thana village and the Rice Academy staff and further added that they were confident of doing more education-related events in future. On this occasion, the langar of Kheer was distributed to all of them.
